Ronald Cheng leads friendly pickleball match to support Hong Kong team

Singer Ronald Cheng and entertainer Cheng Yan-fu organized a ten-person team to participate in a friendly pickleball match against the Hong Kong representative team. Having practiced secretly for several months, the duo utilized a unique strategy where their team consisted of eight additional members to compete against the professional players.

The match followed a special rule where Cheng’s team would lose one member for every point conceded, with the first team to reach 11 points winning. Despite the numerical advantage, the Hong Kong representative team, which featured players such as Wu Li-ping and Lin Ying-shue, ultimately won the match with a score of 11-7.

The event was held to support the Hong Kong representative team ahead of the Pickleball World Cup in Da Nang, Vietnam. The national squad, which includes top-ranked players like Wong Hong-kit and Tang Nok-yiu, is scheduled to compete in the tournament next month.
