Ronald McDonald House supports families facing childhood illness

Ronald McDonald House continues to provide essential support to families dealing with childhood illnesses across different regions.

In Australia, a young boy from Tamworth named Reuben is participating in the Ride for Sick Kids Community Ride throughout August. The event aims to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House Northern NSW. Reuben’s family previously relied on the facility in Newcastle when his brother required specialist care following a premature birth. The fundraising efforts include a road ride traveling over 500 kilometres from Glen Innes to Newcastle.

In the United Kingdom, the Ronald McDonald House in Birmingham provided 46 days of accommodation for a family whose daughter was diagnosed with Stage 4 Burkitt lymphoma. The facility offered a base for the parents during their daughter's intensive medical treatment.
