Ronaldinho heads charity football match in Curitiba's Arena da Baixada

The city of Curitiba will host a charity football exhibition on October 3 at the Arena da Baixada. Former Brazil star Ronaldinho Gaúcho will lead a team of former national and regional players, including world‑cup winner Kleberson, against a squad of highlighted Paraná football legends. The event is organized by Rekoba Kobayashi and supported by Mayor Eduardo Pimentel, who stressed its dual purpose of entertainment and social aid. Ticket holders are required to donate non‑perishable food, a model that previously collected about 25 tonnes; organisers aim to exceed that amount to help local vulnerable families.

The match is expected to draw around 40,000 spectators and will be accompanied by a pre‑game "Jantar das Estrelas" gathering of athletes and supporters. All proceeds will be directed to charitable institutions in Curitiba.
