Ronaldo Caiado proposes transnational police for South America

Presidential candidate Ronaldo Caiado has proposed the creation of a transnational police force in South America to combat organized crime and drug trafficking. Drawing a comparison to European policing models, Caiado suggested that this unified force would allow officers to transit between borders. He proposed that the leadership of this corporation be rotated among member countries through elections.

In addition to the transnational police initiative, Caiado expressed intentions to authorize the use of the Armed Forces to reoccupy territories controlled by criminal factions, though he noted the military's role would be to
