San Juan del Río invests over 4 million pesos to rehabilitate two city streets

The municipal government of San Juan del Río has launched a street‑rehabilitation programme with an investment exceeding 4.2 million pesos. Works focus on Rafael Ayala in the historic centre and Cadereyta in the Vegas del Río neighbourhood, upgrading drainage, water‑supply networks, sidewalks, signage and wet‑paving. The projects are expected to benefit roughly 300 residents – about 150 people on Rafael Ayala and 130 on Cadereyta – and aim to improve mobility and overall quality of life.

Municipal president Roberto Cabrera Valencia supervised the start‑up and said, “Estos trabajos mejoran la calidad de vida de los habitantes y facilitan la movilidad de las familias.” The improvements are part of a broader strategy to first modernise underground infrastructure before laying new, durable pavement.

The initiative reflects the city’s effort to modernise urban services, with direct benefits for the local community.
