Ronda City Council awards contract for new parking lot near train station

The Ronda City Council has awarded the contract to develop a new parking facility adjacent to the local train station. The project will be located on land leased from Adif, following an agreement between the two parties.

The development, which has a budget of approximately 670,000 euros, will cover 7,250 square meters and provide 207 parking spaces, including six reserved for individuals with reduced mobility. The project was awarded to the local company ObraSport, S. L. following a public bidding process.

Part of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (PMUS), the works aim to improve city mobility and revitalize an underused urban area. The six-month project includes cleaning the site, removing dilapidated structures, renovating basic infrastructure, and installing new lighting, sanitation, and pedestrian walkways.
