Ronda Municipal Pool Manolo López Reopens for Summer Season
The municipal swimming pool Manolo López in Ronda will reopen on Saturday, 13 June, marking the start of the summer bathing season, which will run until 29 August. Mayor Mari Paz Fernández and Sports Councilor Nardi Crespo announced that the pool’s bar service will be managed this summer by the Fundación Asprodisis, an organization celebrating its 50th anniversary and supporting people with intellectual disabilities in the region.
The refurbished facility includes a main pool, a children’s pool, a large grass area, picnic spots and playgrounds. Attendance last year rose 7 % to over 32 000 users, averaging more than 2 100 weekly visitors. Opening hours will be 11:00‑21:00 daily, with early swim slots for clubs and free‑swim users from 09:00‑11:00. Lifeguard service operates from 09:00‑15:00 and 15:00‑21:00. Admission costs remain €3 for a single entry and a €30 season ticket (12 swims) is discounted to €2.50. In 2025, 523 season tickets were sold.
