Rondalla Romántica Xalapa to celebrate 30 years with free concert

The musical group Rondalla Romántica Xalapa will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a free concert on Saturday, October 17, at 18:00. The event will take place at the Sala Teatro of the Instituto Municipal de las Artes y la Cultura (IMAC) in Xalapa, Veracruz.

Founded on February 14, 1996, the group aims to preserve the musical tradition of romantic songs and boleros. Members noted that maintaining this genre presents a challenge due to changing public tastes and new music consumption habits via social media. Over its three-decade history, the ensemble has performed in 28 Mexican states and won first place in a national rondalla competition.
