Rondônia expands maternal health infrastructure with new high‑risk maternity centre and half‑built normal birth unit

The Tribunal de Contas do Estado de Rondônia (TCE‑RO) attended the inauguration of the Centro Regional Especializado de Atenção Materno‑Infantil Madeira‑Mamoré (Creami) in Porto Velho. The facility consolidates nursing, obstetrics, ultrasound, nutrition, physiotherapy and social services to provide specialized, integrated care for high‑risk pregnant women, reducing travel and improving maternal‑infant health indicators.

In Guajará‑Mirim, construction of a Centro de Parto Normal (CPN) has reached 50 % completion following a R$ 3.6 million federal investment secured by Senator Confúcio Moura. The CPN will serve low‑risk pregnancies, offering a safe, humanised environment for normal deliveries and strengthening the regionalisation of SUS health services in Rondônia.
