Rondônia launches first weaponry and shooting instructor training course

The first edition of the Weaponry and Shooting Instructor Training Course (IAT/2026) has commenced in Porto Velho, Rondônia. Organized by the State Secretariat of Justice (Sejus) through the School of Penal Services (Esep), the two-week program involves 30 participants.

The training aims to standardize technical procedures and unify knowledge shared among penal police officers in both the capital and the interior of the state. According to Esep director Vanessa Krause, the initiative addresses a shortage of qualified instructors, which previously hindered the dissemination of technical expertise among teams.

Participants include members of the Rondônia Penal Police, the Acre Penal Police, the Federal Penal Police, the Military Police of Rondônia, the Civil Police of Rondônia, the Military House, and the Institutional Security Cabinet of the Public Ministry. Governor Marcos Rocha emphasized that the training is essential for strengthening technical qualifications and ensuring procedural uniformity among security personnel.
