Raquel Lyra and Maurício Carvalho lead regional political initiatives

In Pernambuco, Governor Raquel Lyra is navigating a complex political landscape during her reelection campaign. A recent incident involved a near-scheduling conflict when President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva visited Recife. The President's security team detected Lyra at the same hotel where he was staying, leading to discussions to avoid an awkward encounter. Lyra clarified that she uses the hotel as a campaign support base and denied attempting to force a meeting.

During a TV Globo debate, Lyra proposed the ‘Programa Acolhimento Digital’ to provide psychological support for individuals addicted to online betting. She also announced housing and climate adaptation initiatives for the Caranguejo Tabaiares community, including the ‘Palafita Zero’ and ‘Perifa Clima’ programs.

In Rondônia, Federal Deputy Maurício Carvalho is focusing on education and health infrastructure. He has successfully coordinated over R$ 34 million for the construction of eight new daycare centers across various municipalities, including Vilhena and Pimenta Bueno. Carvalho also advocated for increased technical training for youth and improved healthcare access in rural areas to reduce the need for long-distance travel for medical services.
