Rondonópolis City Hall Cuts Public Lighting Costs by Over 41% After Cadastral Review

The municipality of Rondonópolis updated its official lighting registry, correcting duplicate entries and aligning the recorded power with the actual LED installations. The revision, carried out by the Secretariat of Municipal Administration, Management of People and Innovation (SEMAGI) together with the Secretariat of Municipal Infrastructure (SINFRA), led the energy concessionaire Energisa to adjust the billing.

As a result, the monthly public‑lighting bill fell from R$ 1,507,536.34 to R$ 854,508.87, a reduction of 41.43%. The projected annual savings are about R$ 7.25 million, which the city plans to redirect to other priority areas.
