Rondonópolis hosts 2nd Justice and Citizenship Charity Run
On 16 August, Rondonópolis in Mato Grosso will hold the second edition of the Corrida da Justiça e Cidadania. Organized by the Fórum da Comarca, the event features a 7‑km competitive race and a 3‑km non‑competitive walk, starting at 6:30 a.m. in front of the Fórum Desembargador William Drosghic.
The race aims to raise funds for the local Escola Louis Braille, which serves around 230 visually‑impaired students. Registration fees are R$ 69 for judiciary and security personnel and R$ 129 for the general public, with additional service charges. Prize money for the top five finishers in the open categories ranges from R$ 500 to R$ 1,800, with separate awards for judges, municipal athletes, security members and participants with disabilities.
Judge Aline Quinto Bissoni highlighted the initiative’s role in strengthening community ties and promoting social inclusion. Participants will receive medals, and a pre‑event training run is scheduled for 25 July. The event combines sport, health promotion, and local solidarity.
