Rondonópolis implements new electronic service invoice rules

The Rondonópolis City Hall, through the Municipal Finance Secretariat, has announced new requirements for filling out electronic service invoices (NFS-e). As of October 1, 2026, the National Data Environment for NFS-e requires the mandatory completion of the “Type of Operation” field for specific service items.

Affected service categories include real estate brokerage or intermediation, leasing of goods, general administration of third-party assets, and the use of cemetery spaces for burials. When issuing invoices for these services, users must select an option that accurately reflects the timing of the service provision and payment, such as “supply with subsequent payment” or “supply and payment concomitant.”

Authorities emphasized that the “government purchase” option must not be selected simply to facilitate invoice issuance; the information must reflect the true nature of the transaction in accordance with technical specifications established by the NFS-e Management Committee.
