Rondonópolis to host 1st Copa Integração amateur football tournament
The 1st Copa Integração, themed ‘Unindo Bairros, fazendo amigos’, is set to launch this Saturday at the Engenheiro Luthero Lopes Municipal Stadium in Rondonópolis. The opening ceremony will feature a women's friendly match, followed by the first men's game and the official group draw.
The tournament aims to revitalize amateur football and foster community integration. Approximately 1,700 athletes are expected to participate, comprising 64 men's teams and 16 women's teams. While the opening takes place at the main stadium, the competition will be decentralized: women's matches will be held at the Jardim Tropical Mini Stadium, while men's matches will occur across various neighborhood fields.
The event includes a total prize pool of R$ 100,000, along with trophies and medals for champions and individual standout players. A technical congress was recently held at the Padre Lothar Service to establish regulations and emphasize sportsmanship and fair play among participants.
