Rondonópolis woman detained after fatal stabbing of husband

A woman was detained in Rondonópolis, Mato Grosso, after fatally stabbing her husband at a fertilizer company yard near the BR-163 highway. The victim, identified as 41-year-old Luciano Lemos de Oliveira, was transported by ambulance to the local Urgent Care Unit (UPA) but was pronounced dead by medical staff.

According to the Military Police, the woman claimed she acted in self-defense following a physical altercation. She alleged that her husband pulled her by her hair from a truck and attacked her, prompting her to strike him once with a knife. Police noted that the woman had sustained injuries to her left arm and chest area. Authorities have seized the weapon and isolated the scene for investigation by the Civil Police.
