Roney Facchini, actor of ‘Rá-Tim-Bum’, dies at 73

Brazilian actor Roney Facchini has died at the age of 73 in São Paulo. His death was confirmed by the Bibi Ferreira Award and colleagues in the industry. Reports indicate he suffered a sudden illness in his car shortly after leaving his building's garage; he was taken to Hospital Oswaldo Cruz by SAMU but did not survive.

Facchini was widely recognized for his role as Luís, the patriarch of the Silva family, in the iconic children's series ‘Rá-Tim-Bum’ on TV Cultura during the 1990s. His extensive career also spanned television, cinema, and theater, with notable appearances in TV Globo productions such as ‘Malhação’, ‘Cheias de Charme’, and ‘Pé na Cova’. In film, he appeared in titles including ‘Polícia Federal: A Lei É Para Todos’.
