Rong May Glass Bridge to suspend operations in October

The Rong May Glass Bridge tourist site, located in Lai Chau province, will temporarily suspend operations starting October 1, 2026. The suspension is due to safety concerns caused by construction work on an adjacent project. A reopening date has not yet been announced.

In response to the upcoming closure, the site management has announced a special promotion for local residents. Between September 21, 2026, and September 25, 2026, visitors with registered residency in Lai Chau province will receive 100% free admission. To qualify, visitors must present valid identification, such as a citizen ID card or household registration. This waiver does not apply to game tickets or food and beverage services.

Invested by the Hoang Lien Son Group with over 1,000 billion VND, the facility features a 300-meter glass elevator and a 300-meter glass bridge situated at an altitude of 2,200 meters above sea level. The site has attracted approximately 300,000 visitors annually since its operation began in 2019.
