Ronnie Ortiz-Magro announces four months of sobriety
Reality television star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro has reached four months of sobriety following a period of addiction and mental health struggles. The “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation” cast member revealed that he had returned to using cocaine in January after his prescribed medications for depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety failed to provide sufficient relief.
Ortiz-Magro addressed recent public speculation regarding his health after he appeared to nod off during a SiriusXM interview in April. He clarified that the incident was caused by the lingering effects of Seroquel, a prescription medication he takes for insomnia and bipolar disorder, rather than illicit substances.
