Ronny Brede Aase undergoes eye surgery after retinal detachment

Norwegian radio and television presenter Ronny Brede Aase has undergone surgery following a retinal detachment. The procedure involved filling his eye with gas, a treatment that prevents him from flying or traveling over mountains for several weeks.

As a result of the medical emergency, Aase must postpone the remainder of a lecture tour he was conducting with his wife, Tuva Fellman. He will also take a temporary break from his radio broadcasting duties to recover. Aase expressed gratitude for the medical care received and noted that he is doing well given the circumstances.
