Rontis Hellas announces 180 million euro investment in Greece

Pharmaceutical company Rontis Hellas has announced a major investment program totaling 180 million euros to expand its manufacturing capabilities in Greece. The announcement coincided with the company’s 40th anniversary.

The plan includes the completion of a 38 million euro expansion of its existing facilities in Larissa. This sixth expansion is expected to increase production capacity to over 3 billion tablets annually and will employ approximately 800 people. The Larissa unit is noted for its high technological standards and focuses on products for international export, with 85% of production destined for markets in over 80 countries.

Additionally, Rontis is launching a 50 million euro project to establish a second pharmaceutical manufacturing unit in the Kozani Industrial Area. Scheduled to begin operations between 2027 and 2030, the new facility will span 60,000 square meters and feature 10 to 20 production lines. This expansion is expected to create significant new employment opportunities in Western Macedonia and support the region's economic transition.
