Ronwen Williams urges Bafana Bafana to maintain momentum under new coach

South African national football team captain Ronwen Williams has called on his teammates to maintain momentum as Bafana Bafana enters a new era under head coach Pitso Mosimane. Williams emphasized the need to build upon the progress and competitive spirit established during the tenure of former coach Hugo Broos.

The team is currently preparing for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, including an upcoming match against Guinea at the Orlando Amstel Arena in Soweto. Williams stated that the squad is aligned with Mosimane’s philosophy and aims to make qualification for the tournament a consistent standard rather than a question mark.

Williams noted that while the team has climbed the ladder in recent years, there is no room for complacency. He highlighted a positive relationship with the new coaching staff and a collective desire to push the team even further on the continental stage.
