Wayne and Coleen Rooney to star in new Disney+ reality series

The new Hulu original reality series ‘The Real Rooneys’ is set to premiere on Disney+ on September 24. The 10-episode show provides unprecedented access to the lives of former England footballer Wayne Rooney and his wife, Coleen Rooney.

The series follows the family at their home in Cheshire, documenting a transitional period as Wayne moves away from football management to focus on family life and school runs, while Coleen pursues new career opportunities, including a clothing range for Primark.

Teasers for the series highlight the personal dynamics of the couple, including moments of tension and humor. Coleen noted that the filming captured the ‘highs and lows of married life,’ admitting there were even days when the couple were not speaking to each other during production. The show aims to present an authentic look at the family, including their four sons: Kai, Klay, Kit, and Cass.
