Roony Bardghji suffers ACL injury at FC Barcelona
FC Barcelona winger Roony Bardghji has suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), which is expected to sideline the Swedish player for more than seven months. The injury occurred during a group training session after the player had been left out of the club's pre-season tournament squad.
Bardghji underwent successful surgery on Wednesday. While in the hospital, he received support from teammates including Gavi, Pedri, Alejandro Balde, and Hector Fort.
The injury significantly disrupts the player's immediate future. Prior to the setback, Bardghji had attracted substantial interest from several major European clubs, including Juventus, AC Milan, Aston Villa, Valencia, Marseille, Lille, and Ajax, who were interested in a permanent move or a loan. He is currently under contract with Barcelona until June 2029.
