Roque Santeiro history and actor Kadu Moliterno's request

The Brazilian telenovela 'Roque Santeiro', written by Dias Gomes, holds a significant place in television history due to a censored 1975 version. Produced by Rede Globo and directed by Daniel Filho, the original production was banned by censors on the eve of its scheduled premiere. The plot centered on the fictional town of Asa Branca, where the local economy relied on the myth of Roque Santeiro, a religious sculptor believed to have died fighting bandits.

In a separate development, actor Kadu Moliterno has publicly expressed interest in working with playwright Aguinaldo Silva. Following social media discussions regarding potential casting for upcoming projects, Moliterno reached out to Silva to request a role that fits his profile, noting the honor of collaborating with the writer again after previous works such as 'Partido Alto' and 'Suave Veneno'.
