Roraima Public Ministry investigates legislative transparency

The Public Ministry of Roraima (MPRR) has launched an investigation into the Legislative Assembly of Roraima (ALERR) regarding potential violations of transparency and publicity principles. The inquiry, designated as Preparatory Procedure No. 045/2026, follows an alleged failure to respond to requests for access to invoices related to indemnity funds used by state deputies.

Prosecutor Luiz Antônio Araújo de Souza is investigating whether the lack of response violates the Access to Information Law (Law No. 12,527/2011). The MPRR noted that the situation could potentially constitute an act of administrative improbity.

In response, the ALERR stated it is aware of the procedure and will provide necessary clarifications and documents within legal deadlines. The Assembly is currently conducting an administrative review to track the original request and determine the circumstances surrounding the lack of response.
