Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry vacation in Greece after major season
Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry travelled to Greece with their wives and children for a family holiday after the conclusion of the 2026 major golf season. The two Irish golfers had both played all four majors, with McIlroy winning a second consecutive Masters at Augusta and Lowry finishing tied for 28th at The Open while McIlroy placed tied for 40th at the same tournament.
During the holiday the players emphasized that family now takes priority over competition. McIlroy said he no longer structures his life around the PGA Tour, and both plan to return for the FedEx Cup finale in Atlanta later in the month.
