Rory McIlroy confirmed for 2027 Dubai Desert Classic

Rory McIlroy has confirmed his participation in the 2027 Hero Dubai Desert Classic, scheduled for January 21–24 at the Emirates Golf Club. The World No. 2 seeks a record-extending fifth Dallah Trophy at the venue where he secured his first professional victory in 2009.

McIlroy enters the tournament following a highly successful period, including defending his Masters title at Augusta National to become only the fourth player to win consecutive Green Jackets. His recent achievements also include a Ryder Cup victory with Europe at Bethpage Black and claiming a seventh Race to Dubai title.

Describing Dubai as a ‘second home’, McIlroy noted that the tournament holds significant personal importance as the location where his professional career began.
