Rory McIlroy expresses respect for Patrick Reed's PGA Tour return path

Rory McIlroy has expressed respect for Patrick Reed following Reed’s efforts to return to the PGA Tour. After leaving LIV Golf in January and serving a one-year suspension, Reed has focused on his performance on the DP World Tour to secure his return to the American circuit by 2027.

McIlroy noted that the cessation of legal disputes between the parties has helped ease tensions. He praised Reed’s conduct and determination to earn his way back through competitive play rather than litigation, stating that Reed’s approach has shown character that is respected by his peers.
