Rory McIlroy partners with DP World for mobile recovery services
Professional golfer Rory McIlroy has entered a new partnership with DP World, a Dubai-based logistics company. As part of the agreement, DP World will provide McIlroy with two personalized fitness and recovery trailers that will travel with him to every tournament on his schedule. These mobile units are expected to include strength and cardio equipment, a cold plunge, and an infrared sauna to assist with his travel logistics.
In a separate development within the professional golf circuit, LPGA Q-School competitor Gigi Stoll highlighted the high financial barriers to entry for aspiring professionals. Stoll detailed expenses totaling over $8,000 for a single qualifying week, including entry fees, caddy costs, flights, and accommodation. These financial pressures are compounded by recent scheduling shifts, as the LPGA postponed its Q-Series Qualifying Stage in Venice, Florida, due to heavy rainfall, forcing players to adjust travel and preparation plans.
