Rosa Barbolini portrays Caterina Rappoccio in 883 series

The Sky Original series ‘Nord Sud Ovest Est – La leggendaria storia degli 883’ features a character inspired by the real-life singer Caterina Rappoccio. In the fourth episode, actress Rosa Barbolini portrays the character, who is based on the young singer who collaborated with Max Pezzali and Mauro Repetto on the song ‘Aeroplano’.

Historically, Rappoccio was 17 years old when she performed ‘Aeroplano’, a track included in the 883 album ‘Nord Sud Ovest Est’. Her career trajectory was influenced by producer Claudio Cecchetto, who discovered her at the Festival di Castrocaro. The song ‘Aeroplano’ became a significant pop moment in the early 1990s, notably appearing during a period that marked the final official public appearance of the Pezzali and Repetto duo.
