Rosa María Molló appointed RTVE Asia-Pacific delegate in Beijing

RTVE has announced that journalist Rosa María Molló will return to Beijing to serve as the new delegate for the Asia-Pacific region. This appointment coincides with the 70th anniversary of Televisión Española (TVE).

Molló succeeds Yolanda Álvarez, who has served as the correspondent in China since 2021. Molló returns to the region 16 years after her previous assignment there, which lasted from 2009 to 2010. She noted that while the region remains somewhat similar, China has transformed significantly from a developing nation into a technological powerhouse.

With a career spanning three decades at RTVE and RNE, Molló has previously served as a correspondent in the United States and the Middle East, covering conflicts such as the war in Afghanistan and the revolutions in Egypt, Libya, and Syria. Her recent roles within the corporation include serving as the Audience Ombudsman and Director of Corporate Communication and Image.
