Rosa Romero calls for political change in Spain
Rosa Romero, a People's Party (Partido Popular) senator for Ciudad Real, has called for urgent political change in Spain ahead of the upcoming elections on November 29. During a press conference in Puertollano, Romero criticized the administration of Pedro Sánchez, characterizing his eight years in power as a period of “misgovernment.”
Romero specifically targeted Housing Minister Isabel Rodríguez, accusing the government of failing to meet its commitment to build 183,000 public homes. She argued that the lack of results in housing policy has disproportionately affected young people and criticized Rodríguez's management of the ministry.
In addition to housing, Romero raised concerns regarding the rising cost of living, including increases in energy, fuel, and basic goods. She blamed the government's fiscal policies for the loss of purchasing power among families. Her criticisms also extended to local infrastructure, specifically citing delays and technical issues affecting the AVE high-speed rail service in the Puertollano region.
