Rosalía shares anecdotes on Jimmy Fallon regarding church visit and Bono

During an appearance on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’, Spanish singer Rosalía shared several anecdotes regarding her recent activities and interactions with other musical icons.

Rosalía recounted an attempt to attend a Sunday service at the Abyssinian Baptist Church in Harlem, New York. After dressing specifically for the occasion, she waited in a long line in the cold, only to be denied entry by a staff member because the church was at full capacity. She joked that after being ‘rejected by the church’, she decided to go shoe shopping instead.

Additionally, the singer discussed a recent exchange with U2 frontman Bono. She revealed that Bono contacted her to consult on the use of specific Spanish words for a song titled ‘The Mirror Maker (Rosalía)’, which is featured on U2’s upcoming album ‘Carnaval de Luz’. Rosalía noted that one word he proposed, ‘marmolé’, did not exist in standard Spanish, leading her to jokingly tell him to ‘feel free to invent your own language’.
