Rosalía explains why listening to her own albums is 'torture

Singer Rosalía stated in an interview with CBS Sunday Morning that she does not listen to her own albums once they are released. She described the experience as 'a torture' due to her perfectionism.

Rosalía explained that her creative process is driven by a desire to share her work and then 'let it go.' She noted that listening to her completed projects would lead her to focus on technical details she would have preferred to change, such as mixing levels or vocal interpretations.

As an example of this meticulous approach, she mentioned spending two years working on her fourth studio album, LUX. The adjustments continued so close to the release date that slight differences exist between the digital versions and the vinyl editions.
