Rosalía in negotiations to star in Hollywood film ‘Wet’

Spanish singer Rosalía has entered initial negotiations to star in the film ‘Wet’, directed by Alma Har'el. If the deal is finalized, it would mark a significant move into Hollywood for the artist, who previously had a small role in Pedro Almodóvar’s ‘Pain and Glory’ and a supporting part in the third season of ‘Euphoria’.

According to reports from Deadline, the project was presented at the Toronto Film Festival market. Other actors in early negotiations for the film include Javier Bardem and Rebecca Ferguson. While specific details regarding Rosalía’s role remain limited, it is described as a ‘key character’ in the plot.

The film’s script was written by Har'el in collaboration with Christian Stangeby. Industry insiders suggest the story, which is set on a luxury yacht, may follow themes similar to the series ‘Succession’, involving family battles for control. Other potential cast members include rising stars Connor Storrie and Odessa A'zion.
