Rosalía's Lux Tour reaches Latin America amid calls for her to sing at World Cup final
Spanish singer Rosalía is touring Latin America as part of her 2025‑2026 "Lux Tour". After a European and North‑American leg, the tour opened in Bogotá, Colombia on 16 July with a second show on 18 July, and will continue with four dates in Santiago, Chile (24, 25, 27, 29 July) followed by stops in Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Mexico City and a final concert in San Juan, Puerto Rico on 3 September. The production features a multi‑act format and a "confesionario" segment where guest personalities are invited; past guests have included Karol G, Aitana and Bad Gyal. Chilean media have speculated about possible local guest artists such as Mon Laferte or Francisca Valenzuela.
Ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup final in New York, Spanish pop star Aitana publicly urged Rosalía to represent Spain at the halftime show, posting on X that the Catalan singer "has to be there". The final’s halftime program is set to include global acts like Madonna, Shakira, BTS and Justin Bieber, and will be the first World Cup to feature a dedicated musical performance. Rosalía has already shown support for the Spanish national team, attending a match in Los Angeles and wearing Spanish‑flag‑themed attire, fueling fan expectations that she might join the World Cup stage.
The combined buzz around the Lux Tour concerts and the World Cup halftime request highlights Rosalía’s growing cultural influence across music and sport in the Spanish‑speaking world.
