During the third show of Rosalía’s ‘Lux’ tour at Buenos Aires’ Movistar Arena, the Argentine audience sang “la patria no se vende” (“the homeland is not for sale”) as a protest against a draft law promoted by President Javier Milei’s government to raise the ceiling on foreign ownership of Argentine farmland from 15 % to 25 %. The chant preceded a Senate debate and a planned protest by social, environmental and political groups. Rosalía responded only with a wave of a handkerchief and thanked the crowd, without addressing the political message.

The concert was noted for its theatrical staging, blending ballet, opera and electronic music, a format that has drawn both praise and criticism.
