Rosamund Kwan breaks silence after 22-year entertainment hiatus

Rosamund Kwan, once celebrated as the ‘most beautiful woman in Asia’ in Hong Kong cinema, has given her first interview after a 22-year hiatus from the entertainment industry.

While director Wong Jing suggested her departure was driven by severe insults from the family of her former partner, billionaire Lam Kin-yeuk, Kwan has denied that she went into seclusion solely due to romantic heartbreak, calling such narratives fabrications.

According to Wong Jing, Kwan’s decision to leave her career at its peak was influenced by the decline of the Hong Kong film industry in the early 2000s and personal conflicts involving Lam Kin-yeuk’s family. Kwan has since stated, “In my dictionary, there will never be the word marriage.”
