Rosana Cavalcante discusses family farming in Rio Branco

Rosana Cavalcante, a candidate for state deputy representing the PDT, met with rural producers from the Moreno Maia Settlement Project in the Polo Benfica region of Rio Branco. The meeting, held near the Acre River, focused on listening to farmers' demands and discussing the challenges associated with production and commercialization.

Supported by rural producer Jesuína Alves Braga, a founder of Rio Branco’s organic products fair, Cavalcante emphasized the importance of family farming for the economy and sustainable development in Acre. One of her primary proposals includes regulating and strengthening organic product fairs throughout the state to provide producers with more opportunities to generate income and supply healthy food to the population.
