Rosario Abisso appointed to referee Frosinone-Lecce match
Rosario Abisso has been designated to referee the Serie A match between Frosinone and Lecce, scheduled for Thursday, October 29, at 18:30. He will be assisted by Stefano Alassio and Giuseppe Di Giacinto.
Marco Piccinini will serve as the VAR official, with Paolo Mazzoleni acting as AVAR, and Fabio Maresca as the fourth official. The appointment of Maresca has drawn attention following recent controversies during the Lecce-Juventus match, specifically regarding card distribution and the expulsion of Kialonda Gaspar.
The decision comes amid ongoing discussions regarding officiating in Lecce's recent fixtures, including a disputed penalty revocation in the Lecce-Bologna match and a disallowed goal by Piccoli in a previous game due to a VAR review of contact between players.
