Rosario athletes win 46 medals at Santa Fe 2026 Games
Athletes from Rosario concluded their participation in the Santa Fe 2026 South American Games with a total of 46 medals. Out of the 49 local athletes who competed, 34 reached the podium.
The medal count includes 5 gold, 24 silver, and 17 bronze medals across 16 different disciplines. Notable gold medalists include Tobías Giorgis in water ski jumping, Santino Basaldella in SUP sprint and technical events, Pedro De Haro as part of the championship Los Pumas 7 rugby team, and Luisina Giovannini in women’s doubles tennis.
Silver medals were particularly prominent, with significant achievements in water polo, where ten local athletes contributed to the Argentine national teams finishing as runners-up. Other silver medals were earned in men’s football, women’s volleyball, artistic skating, rowing, judo, water skiing, archery, tennis, and athletics. Bronze medals were also distributed across various sports including gymnastics, speed skating, squash, taekwondo, and more.
