Rosario Central defeats Independiente Rivadavia 5-0 to lead Zona B

Rosario Central secured a dominant 5-0 victory against Independiente Rivadavia in the 12th round of the Torneo Clausura at the Gigante de Arroyito. Ángel Di María led the scoring with two goals, while Jaminton Campaz, Enzo Copetti, and Marco Ruben also found the net.

The match was significantly impacted when Independiente Rivadavia's Álex Arce received a direct red card in the 40th minute following a VAR review for a high challenge on Gastón Ávila. The incident resulted in Ávila being hospitalized for a craniofacial trauma.

With this win, Rosario Central reached 22 points, sharing the top of Zona B with Argentinos Juniors. The result also intensifies the race for the annual league title (Tabla Anual), where Independiente Rivadavia maintains a narrow lead with 52 points, followed closely by Boca Juniors and Argentinos Juniors with 51 points.

In other league action, Belgrano defeated Racing 2-0 to climb to the top of Zona B alongside Central and Argentinos Juniors, reaching 22 points. Meanwhile, the race for the annual championship remains highly competitive with only four matches remaining.
