Rosario councilors demand gas bottle sales list and protest flag seizure at stadium

Rosario councilor Norma López filed a request for information after police removed and seized a flag bearing the slogan “Las tierras no se venden, las tierras se defienden” during a Newell’s Old Boys‑Boca Juniors match. She alleges censorship, questions the discretionary police action, and asks the Santa Fe Ministry of Justice and Security to detail the legal framework, protocols and criteria used in the operation, calling the act a violation of constitutional freedom of expression.

In a separate initiative, councilor Fernanda Gigliani of Iniciativa Popular urged the municipal executive to publish an up‑to‑date list of authorized retailers for 10‑kg gas bottles under the national Programa Hogar in Rosario. She highlighted that families without natural‑gas connections rely on these bottles and that refunds of 9,593 pesos are only granted when purchases are made at approved points, making clear information essential for equitable access.

Both councilors seek greater transparency and protection of citizens’ rights in the city of Rosario.
