Argentina Federal Court suspends INTI restructuring plan

A federal court in San Martín has partially suspended Resolution 213/2025 of the National Institute of Industrial Technology (INTI), halting a transition plan aimed at reducing the agency's services and staff.

The ruling, issued by Judge Elpidio Portocarrero Tezanos Pinto, follows a preliminary injunction request by the State Workers Association (ATE). The court ordered the immediate cessation of the transition plan, which included the phased discontinuation of regulated services and certifications, such as legal metrology and technical controls.

The injunction also prohibits the transfer, relocation, or disposal of sensitive technical equipment, including national measurement standards and scales. The court mandated that the agency guarantee the continuity of employment for staff within the Legal Metrology Technical Directorate and the Certification Body for a period of six months while the legal proceedings continue.
