Rosario de Lerma man charged after violating mutual restraining orders
A 60-year-old man has been provisionally charged with aggravated minor injuries, threats, and judicial disobedience following an incident in Rosario de Lerma, Argentina. The charges stem from a violation of mutual restraining orders that were in effect for both the man and a 37-year-old woman.
According to prosecutor Daniel Escalante, the incident occurred on August 6 at a residence where both individuals were present despite judicial prohibitions against their proximity. During a dispute, the man allegedly threw boiling water from an electric kettle at the woman's face, causing an injury to her cheek. The woman has also been charged with judicial disobedience for her presence at the location.
Local authorities have been engaged to provide an integral approach to the situation, including intervention from the Subsecretaría de las Mujeres, Géneros y Diversidad and the Polo Integral de las Mujeres.
