Rosario Federal Court recognizes link between AstraZeneca vaccine and teacher's injuries

The Federal Court of Appeals of Rosario has recognized a causal link between the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine and severe health complications suffered by a 39-year-old history teacher. The ruling establishes a connection between the third dose administered on December 9, 2021, and the subsequent medical crisis the woman experienced.

Following the vaccination, the teacher suffered intense migraines that led to a 20-day period in a pharmacological coma at the Hospital Privado de Rosario. Her condition included a skull collapse, requiring multiple surgeries such as a cranioplasty and craniotomy. The medical complications resulted in a 70% permanent disability, affecting her memory, speech, vision, and motor functions, ultimately forcing her into early retirement.

The teacher had previously received two doses of the Sinopharm vaccine in early 2021 before receiving the AstraZeneca dose as part of the official health protocol. The court's recognition of the link between the vaccine and her injuries may pave the way for economic reparations.
