Rosario hosts 15th edition of La Noche de las Peatonales festival
The 15th edition of ‘La Noche de las Peatonales’ in Rosario attracted more than 200,000 people to the city center. The event featured a combination of gastronomy, live music, art exhibitions, and various fairs, including the Book Fair.
To support the event, the Banco Municipal offered promotions such as 30% discounts and interest-free installments. The municipal government implemented traffic diversions, reinforced public transport, and provided free use of the public bicycle system to manage the large crowds.
Despite the high attendance, Leandro Lopérgolo, Secretary of Economic Development and Employment for the Municipality of Rosario, noted a difficult economic context for local commerce. He reported that year-on-year tax collection fell by approximately 3%, while trade decreased between 8% and 10% due to national economic factors, including high production costs and import issues.
