Rosario hosts second Climate Week to promote local action
The second Climate Week of Rosario has commenced in Argentina, organized by the Municipality of Rosario and the Fundación Nueva Generación Argentina. The event runs from October 14 to October 16 and focuses on three primary thematic pillars: climate change adaptation, productive innovation and just transition, and the movement from global agreements to local action.
The opening ceremony included various local and provincial authorities, such as the Chief of Staff of the municipality, Rogelio Biazzi, and the Secretary of Environment and Public Space, Luciano Marelli. Officials noted that the city has established a robust local climate action plan through collaboration with civil society institutions, including ICLEI, the Argentine Network of Municipalities facing Climate Change, and the Rosario Board of Trade.
