Rosario house fire leaves woman with carbon monoxide poisoning

A fire broke out in a bedroom of a townhouse in the south zone of Rosario, Argentina. The blaze quickly filled the interior with smoke and carbon monoxide. The homeowner and neighbours responded with buckets of water and extinguishers, containing the flames before the city’s Bomberos Zapadores arrived. Fire crews completed cooling and ventilation operations to disperse the accumulated carbon monoxide.

A woman inside the residence was treated on site for carbon monoxide inhalation and responded positively to emergency medical care. No other serious injuries were reported and the structure sustained no major damage. Authorities highlighted the need for safe electrical installations, proper heating device maintenance and adequate ventilation to prevent similar incidents.
